Don't get us wrong.  We LIKE A Midsummer Night's Dream.  Really we do.  But one day, after seeing the 792nd production of it we'd seen that year, we began to wonder if maybe it wasn't time for someone to start doing something new.  Original works never seemed to get productions.  Readings, sure.  Workshops, maybe.  But no one seemed to really want to take a chance on something new.

So we decided, why not us?

Over time, we developed what we were about a bit more.  We put on shows whenever we get scripts we fall in love with.  We share profits and always pay everyone as much as we can - you can have a great show without elaborate sets, but not without brilliant scripts, talented acting, and savvy directing.  We keep our ticket prices low, because there's no point if no one can afford to see it.

But in the end, we're still focused on the same thing we were at the start.  There are thousands of wonderful, original  shows out there that should be seen.

A Midsummer Night's Dream will still be there.  And maybe we'll find the next one that lasts that long.
